    Mafa’s Testimony
I live on the mountain very close to the Grove. Yes, it is like a cave but trust me it’s a very nice one. But as I was saying, on the mountain, I saw all three of the people come. There was a man and a lady riding on a horse and one other man leading them. One man was dressed in a bluish silk kimono and a wrinkled head dress of the Kyoto style. He was the one on the horse with the lady. The other man was also dressed in a blue Kimono but his was a dark blue. The lady riding on the horse had on a lilac colored suit with a scarf that hid her face from view.
I saw them go up there to the grove, I watched with excitement because I saw the way the lady was looking at that man in the dark blue Kimono, yes him, Tajomaru. She looked like she wanted to do a little something to him. Yes, I am referring to that sir. Yes. Can I continue? Okay, this girl had a wicked look in her eye. Like a kind of sparkle in them. I’m a sixty – five years old sir, I know when I see lust in a young lady’s eyes. So from what I could tell she had a thing for that Tajormaru. Uhuh, she had a thing for him.
But anyway, all three of them went in that dere grove and for a while I thought something freaky was going on in there. But after a while I saw miss lady, oh is that her name? Well I saw Masago run from that grove like she had fire up her rump. And then about forty minutes later the guy with the dark blue kimono came out. He ran and took the horse that Masago and that man came up on.
No. The other man never came out. Yes. Masago came back not long after. I wondered why she came back. Cause sir, if you would have seen that lady run. I sure didn’t think that she was coming back. But she did and her face was not covered with a scarf. Sorry, I had forgot to mention that to you before. Her face was not covered with a scarf when she ran from the grove. But anyhow she went in the grove and then came out in about five minutes. I saw her tears running down her face when she stood in front of the grove for about twenty minutes. She was staring at something in her hand the whole time. Then after while, she just took off running.
Yes sir, that is all that I saw.

  2. The Unused Testimony of Kifune the Rogue Samurai Questioned by a High Police Commissioner

You have to believe me. I'm telling you, Tajomaru couldn't have been the killer. It's not because we're fellow samurais, but it is also for the fact that we follow a similar code of honor. This code of honor unveils the truth behind this crime. Truth is, we came from a clan located in the province of Nankaido. The rules forbid us to wear blue silk, which is an insult to the clan. Those who wear a different color silk other than red are our sole enemies. But, years ago our clan were destroyed by another clan, which is situated in the Hokurikudo province. I heard samurais were recruited from Wakasa there. Other than that, I have no other decriptions about that clan. I wasn't there during the bloodly clash.

Evidentally, I was there during the incident. It was during the noon when I was walking past the grove. I saw four enigmatic figures. I became curious by the second, so I decided to walk closer. I saw a man in a red silk kimono, and another man in a blue silk kimono with a girl riding on a horse. Also, the horse was packed with many utensils, that which includes a rope. I immediately recognized my fellow clan mate. Tajomaru was wearing a red silk kimono at the time, I am sure of this.

They were having a conversation about something, but I couldn't over hear a thing. However, it was a few moments before they entered the grove. I haven't a clue what Tajomaru was up to, but... it was not long before Tajomaru fled the scene, but he came out of the grove wearing a blue silk kimono and treasures. I figured he might have stolen the two couple's belongings. Since there were no treasures at the grove, I left in the attempt to make a deal with Tajomaru. But I couldn't find him anywhere since then.
